Welcome to Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), an illuminator distinguished by its commitment to excellence in engineering, technology, education, research, and innovation. The journey of this institution started in 1964 as an engineering college, later transformed into an institute of technology in 1986, and finally came out as a full-fledged university in 2003. In an era of rapid technological advancement and unprecedented global challenges, universities have a vital responsibility to prepare future generations not only with professional knowledge and technical competence, but also with integrity, creativity, ethical values, leadership, and a strong sense of social responsibility. RUET is uniquely positioned to fulfill this responsibility through its culture of quality education, cutting-edge research, innovation, and collaboration. It is a great privilege and honor for me to serve as the Pro-Vice Chancellor of RUET. Our foremost priority is to strengthen the academic environment so that students can develop into competent professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, and responsible citizens. We encourage curiosity, critical thinking, interdisciplinary learning, creativity, and a lifelong commitment to knowledge. At the same time, our research endeavors increasingly address national and global challenges and contribute to sustainable technological and socio-economic development. I believe that meaningful collaboration among academia, industry, government, professional organizations, and international partners is essential for transforming knowledge into practical solutions. RUET is continuing to foster such partnerships and create greater opportunities for collaborative research, innovation, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and professional development. Equally important is the creation of an inclusive, transparent, accountable, and student-centered academic environment in which every member of the RUET community can contribute and thrive. Our faculty members, officers, staff, students, alumni, and other stakeholders are the strength of this university. I call upon all members of the RUET family to work together with dedication, professionalism, mutual respect, and a shared vision of excellence.
